North Johnston High student faces murder charge

A North Johnston High School student  has been arrested and charged with second degree murder with malice by Kenly Police in the motor vehicle death of Jamica Williams, 42 of Kenly, that occurred at approximately 12:48 a.m. on Friday, April 14 at the intersection of U.S. 222 and Maple Ave. in Kenly.
Genaro Nunez-Padilla, 18, of Selma, is being held for the crime without bond at Johnston County Detention Center.

“We learned there was an altercation beforehand and the suspect sought the victim him out, knocked him off his bicycle and ran over him,” said Gibson. “We are still investigating and trying to determine intent and motive.”
