The Princeton football team showed no signs of rust coming off a bye week on Friday night, leading Rose Hill Union 49-0 by the third quarter in an eventual 57-6 victory, its first in 1-A Conference Carolina play.
The Bulldogs (6-0, 1-0) put up their second-highest point total of the season against the conference opponent, doing the bulk of the work by the end of the first half. Running back Seth Blevins led the way with three rushing touchdowns, two in the first half, that helped Princeton cruise to a 42-0 lead at halftime.
Jaydon Brooks added a pair of scores on the ground in the win, while Blake Raynor connected with Peyton Mitchell and Paul Eden for two passing touchdowns.
For most of the game, the Princeton defense held the Spartans scoreless. Union scored its only touchdown of the game, a 70-yard pass, in the third quarter.
Princeton will travel to Newton Grove Hobbton (4-3, 0-1) on Friday, Oct. 18.
