JCC manicurist class begins Jan. 28

SMITHFIELD — Johnston Community College will offer a manicurist class Jan. 28 through June 17 for individuals interested in becoming licensed manicurists.

The class will be held Mondays through Wednesdays from 5-10:45 p.m. in the Wilson building, room C-1091B, on the main campus in Smithfield.

This comprehensive course provides instruction and clinical practice in manicuring, application and maintenance of artificial nails and pedicuring. The course content includes nail anatomy, disorders of nails and irregularities of nails; theory and salesmanship as it relates to manicuring; actual practice in manicuring; and arm, hand and foot manipulations.

Nancybette Vazquez, cosmetology instructor, will lead the class. Registration is $185.
