Selma fire department needs new ladder truck

It’s time for the Town of Selma to replace its fire department ladder truck, which could cost $850,000 or more.

Selma Fire Chief Philip McDaniel made his comments during a vehicle status update to Selma Town Council at its meeting last week.

The town’s current Ladder Truck 10 is a 1991 model E-One described by McDaniel as “the workhorse of the fleet.”

To find out more about the ladder truck, pick up a copy of this week’s issue of The Selma News.

I think they should replace the ladder truck for a new model with a longer ladder.
