Selma council approves NC DOT street and highway improvements

Selma Town Council, in a special meeting held July 31, approved an agreement with the N.C. Department of Transportation for street and highway constructions and improvements.

Councilman Tommy Holmes was not present.

The project consists of curb ramp upgrades at 20 intersections. They are: North Brevard Street and West Oak Street, North Brevard Street and West Waddell Street, North Green Street and West Elizabeth Street;

Also, North Green Street and West Oak Street, North Green Street and West Railroad Street, North Green Street and West Waddell Street, North Massey Street and West Waddell Street, North Raiford Street and East Oak Street and North Raiford Street and East Richardson Street.

The Town will be responsible for all liability and maintenance responsibilities for the ramps upon completion of the project.
