JL Customs holds grand opening

Owner Kathy Forbes is shown in JL Customs, a Kenly Company specializing in monogram and embroidery services where a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held.

JL Customs, with Kathy Forbes as owner, recently held its grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony that was attended by community leaders, customers and friends.

The business is located on the property of Big Boy’s Truck Stop at Exit 105 just off Interstate-95 although it is not part of the trucking operation.

Forbes said she has operated J&L as an online company for almost 10 years.

She added that J&L primarily provides logoed uniforms for various corporate entities including restaurant chains, convenience stores and the transportation industry.

Forbes, originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, formerly operated an embroidery shop at a truck stop in Jessup, Maryland.

She came to Kenly in May 2012.
