The deadline for dropping off Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes has been extended to Monday, Nov. 20.
The drop off station is located at Live Oak Baptist Church, 1555 Live Oak Road, Selma. Shoeboxes can be dropped off at the church’s fellowship hall on Nov. 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
Here’s the drop-off schedule for the final week: Wednesday, Nov. 15, 5:30-8:30 p.m.; Thursday, Nov. 16, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 17, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 19, 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian relief organization. Rev. Franklin Graham is the organization’s president.
Each year, thousands of individuals, churches and other organizations pack shoeboxes filled with stuffed animals, toys and clothing. The shoeboxes are dropped off at locations around the country.
