George Carlisle receives Princeton Golden Key award

Former Princeton Mayor George Carlisle received the 2017 Golden Key Award, presented by Princeton’s town board to recognize citizens who have demonstrated a continuing commitment to community and public service.

Mayor Don Rains and commissioners presented the award to Carlisle at the Nov. 6 board meeting.

Carlisle’s son, Joe, said that during his father’s tenure as mayor, he helped bring medical care, dental care and eye care to Princeton. Town hall was filled to capacity with well-wishers for the long time citizen, business and community leader.
