Selma Police arrested a Kenly man Sunday night on a felony cocaine possession charge.
The arrest happened at 8:50 p.m. at 110 Roxy Drive.
Police said they noticed a red Chrysler backing out of a known drug house at 804 S. Raiford St. next to Jones Street.
The police officer pulled the vehicle over at Roxy Drive and South Pollock Street. The driver, Shaborn Amar Nesbitt,
30, of 203 N. Church St., became upset and asked why police stopped him.
Nesbitt denied anything was illegal in his vehicle and denied permission for police to search it.
He was then asked to leave his vehicle and was detained by police. A Selma K9 noticed something on the driver’s side of Nesbitt’s vehicle. Police found small rocks of crack cocaine.
Nesbitt was arrested and transported to the Johnston County Jail where he was held on $10,000 secured bond.
