The Harrison Center For Active Aging will hold its first-ever yard sale, fundraiser and open house on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The center is located at 611 W. Noble St.
“We hope this event will also bring in new participants 60 and older,” said Tammy Willoughby, program coordinator. “If all goes well we hope to make it annual.”
Willoughby said they hope to use the proceeds for center programming and equipment.
“We are a nonprofit organization,” said Willougby. “Anything donated can be brought to the center weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our cut off date for items for the sale is by Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 5 p.m.
“We will accept anything gently used or new. We won’t accept large furniture items. Anything left will be donated to Pizazz for Harbor House.”
They will also be a hot dog sale and bake sale.
