Pine Level Elementary School will observe its 2017-2018 school year 100th Day of School on Friday, Feb 16, by having students and staff dressing how each individual thinks they might look like on their 100th birthday.
PLES Principal Allen Sasser said the observance came about after the school improvement team discussed the idea last month.
“This is not a new idea,” said Sasser. “It has been done in other schools around the country for many years. Our school has always celebrated in the younger grades in different ways but this is the first time in recent years we have celebrated school-wide.”
