Time capsule items reflect Selma’s past and present

Copies of The Johnstonian-Sun were in the 1967 time capsule. Both the 1967 and 2017 time capsules are housed in safety deposit boxes at the Selma Town Hall.

Selma’s past and future intersected at the March 1 opening of the 1967 time capsule, presentation of 2017 time capsule and an appreciation dinner for those who volunteered with the Selma’s 150th anniversary celebration last year.

The time capsule presentation, organized by Bobbie Wiggs, of Selma, was held in the Jernigan Building.  It was a floating event that attracted around 30 people.
