Selma’s new pool may cost $50,000 to open
One of the biggest challenges the Town of Selma faces in reopening its swimming pool is the $50,000 it’s estimated it will take to bring it up to code.
The pool’s fate has been a discussion topic since the Sept. 12 town council meeting when shareholder Carol Harper appeared during the open forum and asked the town to buy the pool.
The town purchased the pool, at 212 Griswold St., last November for $4,670. But council members also said that if the town purchased the property it wasn’t committed to reopen the pool.

The Town of Selma might take over the local privately-owned pool.
