The Johnston Baptist Association’s Operation Inasmuch is Saturday, April 28, and Saturday, May 5.

Operation Inasmuch is a church-driven community service day. It originated in 1995 at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church in Fayetteville and has grown to become an international ministry.

“This spring’s Operation Inasmuch is a state-wide initiative involving, potentially, all North Carolina Baptist churches,” said Hinton. “It is basically the same thing as our Arms Around Selma event.  We patterned that event after the Operation Inasmuch format.”

Arms Around Selma is a church and community service day that’s sponsored by the inter-denominational Selma Ministries Association and is always held the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This year, it will be held Saturday, Nov. 17.

Among the churches that have committed to participate in Operation Inasmuch so far are Hephzibah Baptist Church in Princeton along with Princeton Baptist Church.
