Over 600 JCPS teachers join Wednesday’s rally

Johnston County and Wayne County schools are among at least 40 school districts across the state whose schools will be closed Wednesday, May 16, for a teacher’s rally at the state capitol in Raleigh expected to draw over 15,000 educators.

Princeton High School Band Director Robert Heller, a North Carolina Association of Educators local representative, said over 600 JCPS teachers are participating.
