Smithfield-Selma High School will graduate 276 students on Friday, June 8.
The total amount of scholarships presented will be $7,082,256
The ceremony begins at 6 p.m. Principal David Allen said the school will be prepared for the arrival of guests as early as 5 p.m.
This is Allen’s first Smithfield-Selma graduation as principal.
“I’m just excited to see our students celebrate their successes, said Allen. “It makes me feel good to think that some of our influences have played a role in their future successes.” The commencement exercises, weather permitting, will take place at the Charles T. Tucker Football Stadium on the campus of Smithfield-Selma High School.
Seniors may invite as many guests as they like as long as the event is outdoors.
In the event of inclement weather the ceremony will be held indoors in the school gymnasium where students will be allowed 4 guests each.
