NCASA Director Jo Landreth presents state director of the year plaque to Tony Blair at NCASA Annual Meeting

Wayne School of Engineering social studies teacher Tony Blair was recognized last week by the Wayne school board for being named 2018 Scholastic High School Director of the Year by state Association for Scholastic Activities.

Students from the Rosewood community attend the school of engineering.

Last fall, Blair was the new scholastic director for NCASA, leading the middle and high school scholastic programs at his school. He was among 50 nominees statewide for the award.

In his nomination, NCASA said Blair took on a shared leadership approach by including more teachers in the sponsorship of the programs and maintaining student involvement in NCASA competitions.
