Selma All-American Festival draws crowd

Selma Town Manager Elton Daniels attended his first All-American Festival on Tuesday, July 3, and said it meant a lot to the community.

Parks and Recreation Director Joe Carter estimated the crowd at 5,000 in Uptown Selma and said those who came weren’t disappointed.

“People came out later than usual because of the heat and also because Tuesday was a workday,” said Carter. “The kids had fun in the children’s area. The water balloon fight was a big hit and everyone loved the USAF Full Spectrum Rock Band band. You can’t beat a night like that.”
