The owners of a new Princeton restaurant, Crick’s Pizza Shack, hope to open in August.

Co-owner Christie Woodard said Crick is a childhood nickname.

“My dad called me ‘Crick’ and it stuck,” said Woodard. “Everybody knows me by that name.”

A Princeton native, Woodard said she and her father Dennis Mitchell decided to open the restaurant, which will be located at 1060 Edwards Rd., Suite D, next to K & M Tobacco.

Woodard said Crick’s menu would feature pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, side salads, chicken parmesan, meatball submarine sandwiches and homemade Hershey cake.

“We’ll also have a pizza we’re calling the ‘Bulldog Buffalo Chicken Pizza,’” said Woodard. “We’ll also have a ‘Chicken Pickle Sandwich’ that tastes just like the one at Chick-fil-A.”

Woodard said her restaurant will have an authentic Italian chef.
