KENLY–A tractor-trailer jackknifed across Interstate 95 at Exit 105 near Kenly at approximately 3:42 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11.
The tractor-trailer struck the median barrier face blocking both I-95 southbound lanes at the 105 mile marker.
Towing and recovery specialists removed the vehicle from the roadway at 5 p.m. and North Carolina Department of Transportation crews spread sand on the roadway due to an oil spill.
The left lane of I-95 southbound was re-opened to traffic at 5:29 p.m.
No fatalities or serious injuries connected with the accident were reported.
The accident was investigated by Trooper H. D. Nazal of North Carolina Highway Patrol.
