Bell, White, Strickland win re-election to state House

SMITHFIELD–State House Representatives John Bell, Donna White  and Larry Strickland won re-election Tuesday.

Bell (Republican-District 10) defeated his Democratic challenger Tracy Blackmon by 18,766 (69%) to 8,289 (31%). Bell, the House Majority Leader, won his fourth term in office.

In District 26, Republican incumbent White defeated her Democratic challenger Linda Bennett by 22,604 (60%) to 15,107 (40%). This is White’s second term in the House.

Strickland (Republican-District 28) defeated his Democratic challenger Jimmy Massengill, 17,172 (63%) to 9,313 (34%). Libertarian Walt Rabon received 666 votes (2%). This is Strickland’s second term in the House.
